Welcome to the KVTA website 2008!  The KVTA Officers would like to thank you for joining KVTA as it is an organization built to support one another in our careers as professionals in Veterinary Medicine.  We stand together to educate others about our profession.  Please look around on this site.  Our plans are to add veterinary links and information about careers in the future.  Stop in often!!!

Summer is nearing and we have our next KVTA meeting in Wichita on June 10th.  A guest speaker, sponsored by Pfizer, will be the main focus of the meeting.  This was a fun and informative meeting in 2007 so be ready for 2008!!  There will be a short business meeting as well so we hope you can attend and help us grow our organization!  Your input is very important!

In August we are planning a KVTA meeting in the Kansas City area with another guest speaker and will give more details as we get closer to that date.  It is very exciting that KVTA is trying to help all Kansas Veterinary Technicians be able to participate in some of the events KVTA organizes!!

The KVTA booth will be up at the Kansas State Fair if we have enough volunteers.  It is a great way to campaign for more young people entering the field of Veterinary Technology!

October 3rd will be the KVTA Annual meeting in conjunction with the Colby Community College Veterinary Technician’s Continuing Education Seminar.  Please make plans now to attend this great event!  If you do not have contact information to the Veterinary Technology Department, please call CCC at (888)-634-9350 and leave a message with Esther Penner, RVT and Instructor.
